For the evaluation, the components and all additional documents are anonymised before submission to the jury. When submitting, please note that only documents without recognisable logos and company names can be used for evaluation.

All competition entries submitted will be presented in advance via the event's communication channels. This presentation gives participants the opportunity to showcase their innovation to a broad public and draw attention to their solutions in the run-up to the EUROGUSS trade fair.

In addition to the cast component, please also submit corresponding surface-finished components for the presentation of the shell component as well as the application of the component.

The award ceremony will take place on January 13, 2026 at EUROGUSS Nuremberg. Each award will be recognised with a certificate and a trophy, which will be presented in the various categories.

Competition conditions:
Geographical requirements: Competition entries must have been cast within the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. Submission limit: Die casting foundries and in-house foundries based in the EU/EEA, including Switzerland, may submit up to two entries per company. A separate entry form must be completed for each die casting submitted. To ensure that the forms are properly assigned to the castings when they are unpacked, please use a uniform numbering system. Type of castings: Both single and composite die castings may be submitted. The castings must be deburred, but not mechanically or chemically surface-treated. If a casting has been surface-treated, the finished part must also be submitted. Production requirements and exclusion: The castings submitted must be part of the current production. Castings that have already won awards in other national or international competitions are excluded from the competition. In order to facilitate the jury's assessment, we request the provision of design and assembly drawings. Photos or brochures illustrating the application of the casting are also required. Rights of use: By signing the registration form, participants agree that the submitted die castings may be used for advertising purposes (e.g. in films, print and online media, as well as at exhibitions such as the Die Casting Day or the aluminum trade fair). In addition, the rights to the submitted castings become the property of the VDD. Completeness of the application: Only fully completed entry forms will be considered in the competition. The registration form for the European Die Casting Competition 2026 is available in German and English.

Recognition of the conditions of competition: As the owner, manufacturer and caster of the submitted casting(s), we acknowledge the above-mentioned competition conditions and authorise the organisers to use the casting for advertising purposes. We also confirm that the client has given his consent to the submission of this casting to the competition. We are aware that only components with fully completed registration forms will be considered for the competition.
